Jamie Johnson - Piano, Guitar, Voice |
|
Jamie Johnson is the Director and Founder of Academy of Creative Learning. She teaches piano, guitar and voice lessons. She is a graduate of University of Arizona with a B.A. in Music Education with an emphasis on voice and piano. She taught herself how to play guitar. She has had over 20 years experience teaching music in public schools and in her private studio. She has directed choirs for schools and churches for many years. She was awarded "Outstanding Non-Traditional Student of the Year" at U of A. |

Gary Johnson - Academic Tutoring
|
|
Gary is the husband of our director, Jamie Johnson. He is the Tutoring Curriculm Director and Master Tutor. He graduated from University of Arizona with an Education degree and a Master's degree as a Reading Specialist. He teaches math, reading and SAT prep. He has been teaching all subjects, including math and reading in public schools for over 20 years and has taught students from first grade through community college. |

Nicklas Carmody - Piano and Trumpet
|
|
Nicklas graduated Summa Cum Laude from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in Music Education and Trumpet Performance. He teaches piano and trumpet. He has been playing the piano since he was seven years old and the trumpet from age eleven. He continues to use his talents by playing with the Mesa Community College Community Orchestra as the principal trumpet and by leading his church in their music worship on Sunday mornings. |

Lisa Howe - Violin, Viola, Voice |
Lisa has been teaching violin since 1970. She played with the Columbus Symphony and was a soloist with Columbus College orchestra and concertmaster and soloist with Dekalb Youth Orchestra. She has studied with several masters, including Andrew Galos, Mischa Mischekoff, Ruth Allen, a student of Ivan Galamian and Melba Burton. She has taught voice since 1987 and has performed in several operas, oratorios and musicals. She teaches all styles including opera, oratorio, art songs, show tunes, folk, jazz, and pop songs. |
