School Background
Academy
of Creative Learning, Inc. was founded in 2003 by director Jamie Johnson. We stress a fun
and educationally sound environment with a well organized
administration. We offer private lessons and group classes to children,
teens and adults of all ages.
Why Teach With Us?
We
do not feel that our teachers should be bothered with the
administrative aspects of the music business, as their responsibility
should be to teach.
The
administration office will be responsible for advertising and
marketing, enrollment, collection of tuition, communicating with
parents and teachers. Teachers are paid for lessons even if students do
not show up for their scheduled lesson. If a student calls in advance
to reschedule, the teacher is notified immediately so they can adjust
their schedule. We require 24 hours notice to reschedule. If a student
does not show up and does not give at least 24 hours notice, we feel
that our teachers should still get paid. Our students pay in advance by
the term. The teacher will never be expected to be involved in the
collection process. Our priority for our teachers is to make sure your time is not abused so your teaching day can be as productive as possible.
Our
music studio also provides a professional educational environment which
is conducive to learning. It is free from distractions that could be
present if teaching at the teacher’s or student’s home, such as TVs,
phones, room-mates and noisy family members.
Most
of our students enroll and begin lessons in August. This is when the
majority of our advertising budget is spent. However, we also have a
budget for continuing marketing throughout the year. We feel that our
best source of new students is referrals. We offer some great
incentives to students and public schools to refer interested students
to our studio. We also advertise in newspapers, direct mail, community
publications and other media to constantly attract new students.
