We recommend the Alfred or Bastien methods. We suggest that if 2 students from the same family are starting lessons, that one goes into the Bastien and one into Alfred, to eliminate competition.

Guitar

Strings

We use Essential Elements for Strings and Suzuki Violin School

These exciting string methods keep students motivated with an interesting selection of well-known classics, folk songs and original compositions, while teaching essential string technique in a logical and easy-to-use format. Included are a variety of duets and string orchestra arrangements to make those first performances a rousing success.

"Instant Piano" Adult Workshop

We use Robert Laughlin's "Chord Style Piano"

from the "The Original One Day Workshop"

"Music Reading for the Total Beginner"

Academic Tutoring

We use Harcourt’s cutting-edge reading program. It is a user friendly, interactive, research-driven program, which integrates seamlessly with all of the reading programs used by the public schools. It is based on National, State and District standards.

We also use Harcourt’s program for math, which offers the same cutting-edge, multi-media advantages as the reading program.
